Thank you for choosing Dance Fusion Foley. We want our classes to be enjoyable, welcoming and accessible to everyone. These Terms & Conditions explain how our classes, payments, holidays and enrollment work, so that everything is clear and fair for both our students and the school.
By enrolling in a class at Dance Fusion Foley, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1Enrolment & Matrícula
All students, both adults and children, must complete the enrollment process before attending classes.
✓A €30 matrícula (registration / enrollment fee) is payable when joining Dance Fusion Foley.
The matrícula is separate from the monthly class fee. It is an administration and registration fee which helps cover the costs involved in:
- Processing and maintaining student enrollment.
- Setting up and maintaining student records.
- Administration and communication with students and parents/guardians.
- Reserving and managing the student's place within the chosen class.
- General organisation and preparation of the dance programme.
- Other administrative arrangements associated with being enrolled at the school.
The matrícula is not payment for a particular number of dance classes and is therefore separate from monthly tuition fees.
The €30 matrícula is non-refundable if a student subsequently decides not to continue attending classes, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
2Monthly Class Fees
Dance class fees are paid monthly and in advance, at the beginning of each month.
The monthly fee is for the student's reserved place in their chosen weekly class/course and for the ongoing dance programme. The monthly fee is not calculated according to the exact number of classes or weeks in each calendar month. This means that the monthly payment remains consistent throughout the year.
For example:
- If a month has 4 class weeks, the normal monthly fee applies.
- If a month has 5 class weeks, the normal monthly fee still applies — there is no additional charge for the fifth week.
- If a student misses a class because of illness, holiday or another personal reason, the normal monthly fee still applies.
- If a class falls on a public holiday / "red day" or a scheduled school closure, the normal monthly fee still applies.
This system allows families and adult students to have simple, predictable monthly payments, without fees changing from month to month.
3Missed Classes — Holidays, Illness & Personal Absences
If a student is unable to attend a class due to:
- Holiday
- Illness
- Appointment
- Work commitments
- Family commitments
- Personal circumstances
- Any other reason
…the monthly fee remains payable. No automatic refund, reduction or credit will be given for classes missed by the student.
Where possible, Dance Fusion Foley will allow the student to attend another suitable class as a make-up / recovery class.
Make-up classes are subject to:
- Availability of places.
- The student's age.
- The student's level and ability.
- The suitability of the class.
- Prior agreement with Dance Fusion Foley.
We will always try to accommodate make-up classes where reasonably possible, but a suitable alternative cannot always be guaranteed.
A make-up class is a goodwill arrangement and does not create an entitlement to a refund or reduction in the monthly fee.
4Public Holidays / "Red Days"
If a regular class falls on a public holiday ("red day") or another day on which Dance Fusion Foley is closed, the regular class will not take place.
Where possible, students are welcome to recover the missed class by attending another suitable class. Recovery classes are subject to availability and the student's age and level. We will endeavour to provide suitable recovery opportunities whenever reasonably possible.
However, if a suitable recovery class cannot be arranged, the monthly fee will not automatically be reduced or refunded. This is because the monthly fee relates to the student's reserved place within the programme and is not a payment for a fixed number of individual classes.
5Attendance & Punctuality
Regular attendance is encouraged as dance training is progressive and students benefit from attending consistently. Students should arrive on time and ready to participate.
For safety reasons, a teacher may ask a student who arrives significantly late to observe part of the class rather than participate immediately, particularly if they have missed the warm-up.
Parents/guardians should ensure that children are collected promptly after their class unless another arrangement has been agreed with Dance Fusion Foley.
6Class Changes
Dance Fusion Foley reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:
- Class times.
- Teachers.
- Studio / room locations.
- Class groupings.
- Class content.
Where possible, reasonable notice will be given.
Students may only change to another class with prior agreement from Dance Fusion Foley.
7Trial Classes
Where trial classes are offered, they are subject to availability. A trial class does not guarantee a permanent place.
Students wishing to continue after a trial must complete the enrollment process and pay the applicable matrícula and class fees.
8Behaviour & Respect
Dance Fusion Foley aims to provide a positive, friendly and inclusive environment for everyone. All students are expected to treat teachers, staff and fellow students with respect.
Bullying, harassment, aggressive behaviour, inappropriate language or behaviour that seriously disrupts the class will not be tolerated.
For children's classes, parents/guardians are responsible for supporting the school in encouraging respectful behaviour.
Dance Fusion Foley reserves the right to ask a student to leave a class where their behaviour creates a serious safety concern or significantly disrupts the learning environment.
9Clothing & Footwear
Students should attend classes wearing suitable dancewear and footwear appropriate for their particular class. Teachers may provide specific requirements for certain styles of dance.
Long hair should be tied back where appropriate. Jewellery or other items that could cause injury should not be worn during physical activity.
10Health, Medical Information & Injuries
Parents/guardians of children, and adult students themselves, must inform Dance Fusion Foley of any relevant medical condition, injury, allergy, physical limitation or other circumstance that may affect safe participation in dance classes.
Students should not attend class if they are unwell or have a contagious illness.
If a student becomes unwell or injured during a class, Dance Fusion Foley will take reasonable steps to deal with the situation and, where appropriate, contact the parent/guardian or emergency contact.
Dance is a physical activity and, as with any physical activity, there is an inherent risk of injury. Students must follow the instructions of their teacher and participate responsibly.
11Safety
Students must follow all reasonable safety instructions given by teachers and staff.
Dance Fusion Foley reserves the right to stop a student from participating in an activity where the teacher reasonably believes participation could put the student or another person at risk.
Parents/guardians must provide accurate and up-to-date emergency contact information for children.
Adult students are responsible for informing the teacher if they have any physical limitation or injury that may affect their participation.
12Personal Belongings
Students are responsible for their personal belongings. Dance Fusion Foley cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged belongings brought to the studio.
Students are advised not to bring valuable items to class.

Students and parents/guardians should not photograph or record other students without appropriate permission.
14Performances, Shows & Events
Students may have opportunities to participate in performances, showcases, competitions, workshops, examinations and other events.
Participation may involve additional costs, including but not limited to:
- Costumes.
- Tickets.
- Examination fees.
- Competition fees.

- Additional rehearsals or event-related costs.
Any additional costs will be communicated in advance wherever reasonably possible.
Participation in performances and events is optional unless otherwise communicated as part of a specific course.
15Examinations & Competitions
Where Dance Fusion Foley offers dance examinations or competitions, additional fees may apply.
Teachers may recommend whether a student is ready to participate based on their age, ability, attendance, preparation and suitability.
Parents/guardians or adult students will be informed of applicable costs and deadlines before registration.
16Cancellation / Leaving the School
If a student wishes to stop attending Dance Fusion Foley, written notice of one calendar month should be provided.
The monthly fee remains payable during the notice period. Once the notice period has been completed, no further monthly payments will be due provided the account is fully up to date.
The €30 matrícula is non-refundable.
Dance Fusion Foley may consider exceptional circumstances at its discretion.
17School Cancellations & Unforeseen Circumstances
Occasionally, Dance Fusion Foley may need to cancel or alter a class due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, such as:

Where a class is cancelled by Dance Fusion Foley, reasonable efforts will be made to provide an alternative class, replacement session or other suitable arrangement where possible.
18Teachers
Dance Fusion Foley reserves the right to change teachers when necessary. Teachers may change due to illness, holidays, availability, scheduling or other operational reasons.
The school will endeavour to maintain a high standard of teaching and continuity wherever reasonably possible.
